Bushmills #3 Char Bourbon Cask Reserve - The Steamship Collection (40%)

The third release released in a series inspired by the steamship SS Bushmills, the ship that made its maiden voyage in 1890 to bring bottles of Bushmills to America. Bourbon Cask Reserve is the result of a long-term relationship with master coopers from Louisville , Kentucky, who reserved American white oak, custom charred bourbon barrels to age this whiskey.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: sweet vanilla, ripe pear and toasted oak among spikes of oak spice and crème brûlée.
Taste: orange zest, honey-soaked toast and canned peaches are initially combined before more vanilla and oak spices emerge. A dark chocolate and oak charcoal add pleasant bitterness.
Finish: A slightly drying finish goes long with a hint of more toasty oak.
