Murray McDavid Cask Craft Croftengea Marsala Finish (44.7%)

Croftengea is a peated expression distilled by the Loch Lomond distillery near Glasgow. Just like Inchfad and Inchmurrin, by the way, it is a peated malt. The Loch Lomond distillery is a special one. It can distil both malt spirit through copper stills as well as grain whisky through coffey stills. A total of 5 million litres of malt spirit. 3.5 million litres of grain spirit which, after maturation in oak, finds its way into large quantities worldwide.

TASTING NOTES:
Nose; Sweet smoke, caramel, burnt wood and roasted nuts.
Flavour; Solid Highland peat spices, licorice, mints, soft gee and red fruit.
Aftertaste; Long and sweet spice combined with elegant sweet peat minerality.
