Duncan Taylor Kinclaith 1969 - 51 Years Old (49.3%)

The temporary existence of Kinclaith ended in 1975, closely followed by the demolition of the distillery. This hugely sought after and special whisky is rarely released, and this is the first time Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky Ltd has launched bottlings that are over 50 years old. Only 95 bottles will make it to the world market.

Kinclaith's origins date back to 1957. Located on the south side of the River Clyde, the small malt distillery was housed in the Strathclyde grain distillery building complex. Kinclaith was until recently the last single malt whisky distillery in Glasgow. The vital ingredients were sourced locally and the liquid matured in a combination of American and European oak casks. This produced some of the finest malt whiskies during an illustrious period that continued for 18 years. The distillery closed in 1975 and the only continuation of that history is through this exceptional cask.
