Glen Scotia First Fill Oloroso Hogsheads Limited Edition (56,8%)

With the Glen Scotia Oloroso Hogshead, a special limited edition whiskey is on its way to the Netherlands from Campbeltown. This batch consists of three identical ex-bourbon casks and Oloroso Hogshead casks were used for the finish.

Maturation in high-quality ex-bourbon barrels means that distinct notes of caramel and vanilla are present. These are complemented by the distinctive sherry influences that occur from the finish in Oloroso Hogshead casks.
In addition, the combination of bourbon and Oloroso Hogshead casks creates a wonderfully warming and spicy character.
The whiskey was then bottled at a cask strength of 56.8%, with no coloring added and is non-chill filtered.

Tasting Notes:
Color: Amber
Nose: Rich influences of creamy vanilla, salty caramel and a hint of fresh sea air.
Flavor: Fresh red fruit, vanilla and delicious sherry influences.
Finish: A warm glow of diverse spices.
