Hidden Spirits Teaninich 10 yo (53,4%)

The Teaninich distillery is situated in the Highlands and has traditionally been a workhorse distillery for Diageo, usually going into the Johnnie Walker bottlings. This 10yo single cask bottling has been finished in an Olorosso sherry cask after spending the bulk of the maturation in bourbon casks.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Sweet and very fruity, some orange oil, peach skins, stew and polished fruits, something else is bubbling under, maybe honey and ginger but very subtle.
Palate: Wow this is a tasty dram indeed. Nice rich orchard fruits, stewed apple, fresh plumbs and light fruit juice notes, a tangy rich mid palate, mellow honey, soft ginger root and green grapes.
