HSE Rhum Ragtime American Barrel (40%)

“Ragtime” is a remarkable cuvée in a register of vanilla notes, delicate woods and gourmet aromas. Made from a meticulous selection of agricultural rum mostly grown in 200-liter American oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:
The nose offers us a nice woody nose with fatty nuts, such as peanuts and walnuts. The tannins are smooth and slightly spicy. The ripe cane has matured with age, and has rich dried fruit aromas.
The aeration evacuates the heavier woody notes, leaving us in the presence of a fragrant and fruity cane. A little beeswax ensures softness and comfort, before a scarf of vanilla finally melts us.
The palate is light, with a fluid rum that leaves a little barrel dust on the taste buds. This then melts into greedy nuts and a very light woodiness. The pepper settles in during this time, and ends up becoming quite tasty, without being spicy.
The finish is roundly woody, soft and gently vanilla.
