James Eadie Inchgower 15yo single malt whisky

James Eadie Whiskies was founded in 2016 by Rupert Patrick, a veteran of the industry who has worked for Ian Macleod, Beam Suntory and Diageo. Distilled in 2001, James Eadie have then allowed this single cask of Inchgower single malt to mature for 15 years in a refill bourbon barrel. Balanced middle age.

Inchgower was built in 1871 between the villages of Buckie and Fochabers to replace an earlier distillery in the area called Tochineal where the water supply had been unreliable.
In 1936 the distillery's owners went into liquidation and the distillery was sold to Buckie Town council for £1000. In 1938 the distillery was bought by Arthur Bell and Sons reputedly for the same figure as the town council had paid for it. In 1966 the distillery was expanded from 2-4 stills. Although the make from this distillery is principally a component of Bells blended whisky it is available in a Flora and Fauna bottling.
