Murray McDavid Cask Craft Linkwood Madeira Finish (44.5%)

Linkwood is an important malt in Diageo's blends. The distillery is located in Speyside and can produce 5.6 million malt spirits. Independent bottlings and often loved by aficionados. Linkwood bottlings have something remarkable about their richness and "waxyness". They are also scarce and this one is special because of its maturity.

TASTING NOTES
Nose: Dark fruit, Cassis.milk chocolate. Hints of hazelnut and cinnamon.
Flavour; Refined fruit flavors combined with creamy honey and milk chocolate. Light hints of dates and madeira. 
Aftertaste; Warm, rich and sweet spice. Liquorice.

Started in 1994 by Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Gordon Wright and since 2000 also owners of Bruichladdich, which was sold in 2012. Aceo ltd. bought Murray McDavid in 2013 and a year later, the home on the site of the former Coleburn distillery in the heart of Speyside. One of the first companies to use a variety of interesting casks to complete the maturation process to perfection. Coleburn's traditional Victorian dunnage warehouses hold thousands of casks of whisky from over ninety different distilleries.
