This Whisky Finish Vercors 2013 Rum from New Grove is a traditional very old single estate rum. Based on molasses, this rum has aged for 7 years in Limousin Oak barrels, and then a 1-year finish in ex-single malt whiskey barrels of Distillerie du Vercors from France.
The colour of this rum is copper, with a shiny golden hue. In the aroma you will discover yellow fruit, peach, pineapple and passion fruit. It is also round and supple, with wood tones and hints of caramel. The taste is soft, immediately reminiscent of dark chocolate and contains the bitterness of an orange. In the long finish, this rum is round and ends on notes of liquorice.
