Plantation Black Cask Double Aged Rum (40%)

The 2022 edition of the limited Black Cask series by Plantation Rum is a very special blend. The components of the Black Cask 2022 were distilled in the pot still and column and come from Barbados and Cuba. After an initial maturation of several years in ex-bourbon casks in their respective countries of origin, the two rums came to France, where they received a second maturation in French oak Ferrand casks. This double maturation gives the Black Cask a rich body with delicate smoky and woody notes.

Tasting Note:
Intense start on the nose with hints of honey, green apples, cooked bananas and vanilla. Notes of coconut, coffee and almonds as well as a hint of citrus are added as the wine progresses. On the palate at the beginning an intense, spicy-sweet taste of pastry with a pleasant freshness. This is accompanied by aromas of apricots, chocolate, nutmeg, vanilla and spicy oak. The finish is long-lasting with notes of green apples, bananas, caramel and cinnamon.
