Plantation Single Cask 2021 ed. Multi Island XO (41.2% ABV)

The Plantation Rum Multi Island XO is made from molasses and consists of blends from Cuba, Fiji, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad, Panama, Haiti, Saint Lucia, Reunion Island and Nicaragua.
This rum matures for some years in bourbon barrels, afterwards this matures still further months in ex-cognac barrels from French oak, in the cellars of Château de Bonbonnet/ Cognac.
The finish receives this rum for 8 months in Vieux Pineau des Charentes blanc Casks.
Pineau des Charentes is an aperitif produced in the west of France. Pineau tastes sweet, but with a bit of a bite from tartaric acid.

Tasting notes:
Colour: Light amber.
Nose: Fruity, dried exotic fruits, notes of pineapple, smoky nuances.
Taste: Fruity, sweet, pineapple, notes of vanilla and candied fruit.
Finish: Long lasting.
