CHAIRMAN'S RESERVE RUM
This 5 years old Chairman’s Reserve rum was first blended in 1999 and was overseen by the then Chairman, Laurie Barnard who conceived a quality rum which was blended using continuous and pot still rums coming on stream after ageing. Maturation takes place in American oak casks - Jim Beam, Jack Daniels and Buffalo Trace - separately by still, then blended and reintroduced to oak for a further six months to marry.
Tasting Note: Good dark brown amber colour. The pot still richness comes through on the nose with sweet honeyed fruit and spicy vanilla from the oak. The palate is balanced, with a mellow but complex mix of ripe raisin fruit, tobacco and spice.
The national rum of St. Lucia Bounty Rum started life in 1972 as Denros Bounty Rum on the merger of the old Dennery Distillery and the Roseau Bay Distillery. Generations of Lucians have enjoyed Bounty’s clean and medium bodied profile which makes it a versatile rum and ideal for mixing.
Tasting Note: Medium bodied with ripe sultana fruit, vanilla from the oak and a hint of spice. Good balance, clean and with an enjoyable finish.
KWEYOL SPICED RUM
As part of Creole heritage our spice rum combines local spice such as nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. Kweyol Spice contains a vanilla pod in the bottle and this imparts a rounded mellow flavour to the rum.
Tasting Note: Lovely sweet spiced nose with vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. Ripe honeyed raisin fruit with an explosion of vanilla and nutmeg on the palate. Fresh natural flavours – no artificiality – a special rum.”
