Master Distiller Robert Fleming shows with these Cask Finishes the influence a finish in different casks has on the whisky's aroma and taste. Robert has been in the whisky industry since 1974 and has worked at Tomintoul for more than 20 years. Today he is responsible for all production processes at the distillery.
Nose: Light and subtle with aromas of chestnut, lemon peel, blossom honey and macaroons with hints of chamomile and fennel.
Taste: Sweet choux pastry and whipped cream mixed with sugared almonds, butterscotch, raisins and tobacco.
Finish: Layers of white chocolate, panettone and nutmeg fade into warming ginger spices.
