Velier Isautier 15yo Small Batch (57%)

This bottling is the second co-bottling between Velier and the Isautier distillery. This is a small batch of 3 barrels of lot 36 from this distillery on Reunion. This traditional molasses rum has aged in three different oak barrels: from 2007 to 2009 it was aged in new barrels, then from 2009 to 2019 in ex-cognac barrels and finally, from 2019 to 2021 in ex-Isautier rum barrels.

Isautier, founded in 1845 in St-Pierre, in the south of Réunion Island, is the oldest distillery still in operation on the island.
