Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve Rum
This family-run Worthy Park Estate was established in 1670, and started producing rum as early as 1741. Although it was a highly successful distillery, the glut of Jamaican rum after World War 2 meant that it ceased production in the 1960s. It was completely rebuilt in 2004 and now seems destined to regain its place as one of the great distilleries. This rum is bursting of flavour and we're lucky that Worthy Park is distilling again. This is the first official premium rum launched by Worthy park Estate.
This is a blend of rums tropically aged for between six and ten years in ex-Bourbon once used American White Oak barrels. It is molasses-based, has no sugar added nor is it chill filtered, but does contain some caramel colouring for consistency. Notes of ripe banana, mango, olives and toffee
