The Benriach The Smoky Twelve offers a different take on Speyside whisky by combining the region’s signature fruitiness with a gentle layer of smoke.
Produced at the Benriach Distillery, this 12-year-old whisky is matured in a combination of bourbon barrels, sherry casks and Marsala wine casks. This triple cask approach creates a layered and balanced profile.
On the nose it shows notes of ripe fruit, honey and soft peat smoke, alongside hints of raisins and spice. The palate reveals vanilla and caramel sweetness, followed by dried fruit, toasted nuts and a gentle smokiness. The Marsala casks add a subtle wine-like richness.
The finish is warm and lightly smoky with lingering sweetness and spice.
