A company from southern Italy that originally makes wallpaper (yes, you read it correctly...wallpaper) has teamed up with a distillery from northern Italy, in Trieste to be precise. The "wallpaperers" are responsible for the label material. They have developed a process whereby they can make a flexible "stone" label from Marble powder and Travetin powder from southern Italian quarries that can also be printed beautifully. The result is a beautiful label that covers almost the entire bottle. The material gives the label a very distinct texture both to the eye and to the touch.
The subjects on the labels are Anno 2023 somewhat daring...A collaboration was established with Italian artist and cartoonist Milo Manara and in his signature style the labels are printed. The texture of the stone material gives the images subtle softness that makes the subject far from vulgar. In the dark colors, even the sparkle of the marble powder can be discerned.
The images can be described as "slightly erotic" but their style and materialization make them soft and approachable. What about the J. Rose Gin itself?
The predominant notes of J.Rose are those of juniper. In the nose, it is warm and pungent. The delicate citrus scents of bergamot and mandarin peel are refreshing and provide a soft and silky balance. The aroma of prickly pear blossoms bounces from the nose to the palate and releases a fruity aftertaste. The woody essence is given by the oak bark, characterized by toasted notes that evoke those of hazelnut and walnut.
Its 43% alcohol content enhances the nine botanicals, making it a perfect gin for the most exclusive cocktails.
