King Cask Barbados - Foursquare Rum 10yo (58%)

This King Cask release features a Foursquare rum from Barbados, initially matured for 8 years in the tropics, followed by further ageing in the Netherlands. This combination of climates results in a layered and distinctive profile.

After distillation in Barbados using both pot and column stills, the rum was transported to Amsterdam in 2019 for an additional two years of ageing. In 2021, the cask was shipped by sailing vessel, the Thalassa, across the Wadden Sea to Terschelling, where it was eventually bottled.

The profile reflects this dual maturation, with richer notes of vanilla and oak alongside dried fruit and gentle spice. The structure is full and concentrated, with a clear wood influence that remains balanced.

The finish is firm and long, with warm, lightly spiced notes and a dry, structured close.
