The third release in Lindores Abbey’s celebrated Cask Strength Congregation series, Friar John Cor Chapter 3 continues the legacy of Scotland’s earliest recorded distiller. Crafted with meticulous care at the historic Lindores Abbey Distillery — the spiritual home of Scotch whisky — this limited-edition single malt exemplifies the balance between tradition and innovation.

Matured in an expertly curated combination of ex-Bourbon, Amontillado, and Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, this whisky reveals remarkable depth and harmony.

The nose opens with vanilla fudge, honeyed apples, and treacle, accented by hints of dried fruit, toasted nuts, and gentle spice. On the palate, layers of caramelized orchard fruits, raisins, and spiced chocolate emerge, wrapped in a smooth texture enriched by sherry sweetness and warming oak. The finish is long, indulgent, and comforting — a lingering medley of toffee, nuts, cocoa, and oak spice.
