Borgoe Gold (38%)

The Borgoe Gold is one of the most recognised rums from Suriname and holds a strong place in the country’s rum culture. Originally introduced to mark the centenary of the Mariënburg sugar plantation, it has become a staple within the Borgoe range.

Produced by Suriname Alcoholic Beverages, the rum is aged in traditional oak casks in Suriname’s tropical climate. This maturation gives it a smooth and rounded profile with gentle oak influence and a subtle sweetness.

The nose reveals notes of caramel, vanilla and light oak. On the palate it is smooth and approachable with flavours of toffee, mild spice and balanced sweetness.

The finish is soft with a light woody touch and a gentle sweetness.
