Chalong Bay New Vibration Collection - Ex Shochu Single Cask (60,7%)

This expression was crafted by blending various sugarcane varieties cultivated in Thailand. It was then matured in a cask that once held rice shochu, a traditional spirit from Japan. Transferred to the cask in 2021, the rum was aged in France for a period of 26 months. The result is an exceptionally luscious and vibrant flavor profile.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Fresh yet heady. Recreating succulent notes of vesou, the first nose is extremely fruity (pineapple, pear), milky (almond, rice) and vegetal (sugar cane). Allowed to breathe, aromas of tuberose, geranium and mustard seed gradually take over.
Palate: Long, well-rounded. Notes of vanilla, coconut milk and aromatic plants (rosemary, sage) give way to sweet spices (cinnamon, grated ginger) and rich (rice pudding) and honeyed (agave) flavours.
