Daily Dram Foursquare 15yo – 2006 Sauternes barrel (57.9%)

This Daily Dram release features a 15-year-old rum from Foursquare in Barbados, matured in a Sauternes cask. This cask choice gives it a different angle compared to the more classic ex-bourbon style often associated with the distillery.

The nose is rich and expressive, showing notes of vanilla and dried raisins, alongside a gentle spice. The Sauternes influence is clearly present, adding a honeyed sweetness and depth.

On the palate, it develops into a full and layered profile, with raisins, butterscotch and soft oak, supported by a ripe, concentrated sweetness. Despite its intensity, it remains well-balanced, with the alcohol integrated rather than dominant.

The finish is long and rich, with lingering sweet and lightly spiced notes, ending on a warm and rounded note.
