The first impression leans towards red fruit and gentle spice, with a drier, slightly firm structure underneath. The wine cask adds grip rather than roundness, giving the whisky a more defined edge compared to other expressions.

As it develops, the profile shifts. Smoke remains present but moves slightly back, allowing fruit and spice to come forward. It feels more compact, with less focus on sweetness and more on structure.

The finish lingers with smoke, oak and a drier fruit note that fades without turning sweet.
