Glenlivet 15yo French Oak Reserve (40%)

The Glenlivet 15 Years French Oak Reserve draws much of its character from the use of French Limousin oak. This type of wood, known for its open grain, allows the whisky to develop a fuller and warmer profile through increased cask influence.

It opens with ripe apple and soft citrus, followed by honey and gentle spice. Notes of almond and a touch of vanilla emerge, supported by a warm, lightly oaked base that adds depth.

On the palate, it feels rounder and slightly richer than younger expressions. Sweet fruit and caramel integrate with the oak, while a subtle spice adds structure without disrupting the balance.

The finish is soft and gently spiced, with lingering almond, oak and mild sweetness fading gradually.
