Kanosuke Single Malt 2026 Oloroso & Cream Sherry Casks L.E. (48%)

The Kanosuke Distillery has released a limited edition on the white sandy beaches of Fukiagehama on the west coast of Kagoshima: Kanosuke Single Malt Sherry Casks Vatted. This bottling adds a new dimension to the distillery's flagship single malt.
For this special edition, the focus is entirely on sherry casks, chosen to highlight and enhance Kanosuke's signature aromas and flavors. The whisky is matured in Spanish Oloroso and Cream Sherry casks and layered with spirit from the distillery's signature shōchū casks, which add a distinctive spicy, Japanese nuance. A touch of new American white oak provides extra depth and accent.
Bring the glass to your nose and you will smell the rich aroma of dark cherries, blended with the sweet, luscious scent of fruity cake. On the palate, soft fruit notes unfold, while the finish lingers with a calm, tropical resonance reminiscent of the sunsets over Fukiagehama.
Malt: unpeated and peated malt

Pot stills: copper stills by Miyake Seisakusho – wash still 6,000L, spirit stills 3,000L and 1,600L
