La Forza Rum VIII is a release from Spirithouse Spirits, an independent bottler focused on creating bold and characterful rum blends. The La Forza series brings together rums from different Caribbean origins with the aim of balancing intensity, complexity and drinkability.
For this eighth edition, several Caribbean rums were selected and combined to build a layered profile in which fruity notes and warming spices complement each other. By blending different distillation styles and maturation influences, the result offers both richness and structure.
On the nose the rum opens with aromas of ripe banana, honey and vanilla, followed by hints of dried fruit and soft caramel. Gentle notes of clove, cinnamon and lightly toasted oak add further depth.
The palate is rich and rounded with flavours of toffee, vanilla and tropical fruit. These are followed by warming spices, subtle oak and a touch of cocoa. The finish is long and warming with a balanced combination of sweetness, spice and oak.
A characterful blend that works well neat while still offering plenty of complexity for rum enthusiasts.
