This rum from La Hechicera is produced in Colombia and is known for its traditional approach without additives. The focus lies on long tropical ageing and a natural balance between oak, fruit and spice.
Made from molasses and distilled in column stills, the different components are aged separately in ex-bourbon casks. The final blend consists of rums aged between approximately 12 and 21 years, resulting in a layered and well-rounded character.
On the nose, notes of cocoa, orange peel and coffee appear, supported by soft oak and gentle spice. The palate is round and full with chocolate, dried fruit and oak, complemented by subtle spices. The finish is long and smooth with lingering warm and lightly spiced notes.
