Mac-Talla Pedro Ximénez Limited Edition (52,8%)

The Mac-Talla Pedro Ximénez Limited Edition is a small-batch Islay single malt that explores the balance between coastal peat smoke and rich sherry maturation. Following the success of an earlier PX release, Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers created this limited bottling with a focus on depth, intensity and harmony between smoke and sweetness.

The whisky matured in a carefully selected combination of first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry butts and refill PX sherry hogsheads, allowing bold fruit character and refined oak influence to develop while preserving the coastal Islay profile. Bottled at natural colour, non-chill filtered and without added colouring, the whisky presents its character in an unaltered form.

On the nose, aromas of sticky dates and raisins appear alongside gentle peat smoke. The palate reveals layers of dark dried fruit and warm treacle toffee, supported by a subtle coastal brine that adds complexity. PX cask influence brings richness and structure, while hints of spice and steady peat smoke maintain balance. The finish is long and intense, combining lingering sherry richness with elegant maritime smoke.
