Quarterdeck Hampden Jamaica 2009 is a single cask Jamaican rum, selected and bottled by Duncan Taylor as part of the Quarterdeck series. This range focuses on origin and cask selection, with all releases bottled without additives.
Distilled in 2009 at Hampden Estate, the rum reflects the distillery’s distinctive style. It was aged for 12 years in oak casks, allowing both the distillate and the wood to shape its structure.
As a single cask release, it comes from one individual barrel, resulting in a limited outturn and a unique profile within the Hampden range. It is bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring.
The profile shows Hampden’s signature character, with a noticeable savoury and spicy edge, supported by oak influence and a subtle saline touch, resulting in a firm and layered style.
A distinctive Jamaican single cask where distillery character and maturation come together in a bold profile.
