Rhum Barbancourt 4yo (40% ABV)

Barbancourt 4 years old is an "Rhum agricole", meaning it is produced from fermented sugar cane juice rather than the more typical molasses. The sugar cane juice is double distilled and aged for four years in Limousin oak barrels.
Dupré Barbancourt created the Barbancourt rum recipe in 1862 in Haiti, where the rum is still produced today. A French national, Barbancourt incorporated traditional French methods including double-distillation in the process.

Tasting Notes:
Color / Nose: Light gold. Striking maturity despite its young age, top notes reveal lime, followed by tart citrus fruits.
In the mouth: Entry is spicy with light woody notes, well-balanced.
Final: The finish is green with a note of fresh sugar cane juice.
