Nose: Nutmeg, brimstone, damp forest grounds and after some oxygen, cane candy! Some pear as well, and who brought in the yuzu?
Taste: flavor bomb, oh la la. Exactly what one would expect from an Uitvlugt! The X marks the spot with this gentle dram. Pear juice, pine juice and nutmeg. Smoked bacon.
Finish: a stunningly long finish, as one would expect from a 27 years old rum. Bringing new flavours of liquorice and yuzu fruit and cotton candy. But not in a sweet way.
