Tomintoul 17YO Limited Edition 2005 Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask Finish (46%)

Tomintoul has distilled a great 17-year-old whisky, which received a finish on a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, producing a rich, sweet and fruity dram.
The spirit underwent an initial maturation in ex-bourbon casks. Then, to further develop the spirit, Master Distiller Robert Fleming chose high-quality PX Sherry casks, which are renowned for their quality, and the deeper and fuller flavors they impart to the whisky. After finishing, the whisky is bursting with flavors of dark stone fruit and hints of toasted almonds, oak and peppery spices.
Tomintoul is releasing 9,870 bottles of this non-chill filtered whisky worldwide.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: A combination of sweetness and spiciness, cinnamon, lemon peel and raisins.
Taste: Rich in fruit, warm spices with sweet undertones, hazelnuts can be detected in the distance.
Finish: Diverse palette of diverse winter spices.
