Uncharted Whisky Co The Chain 5YO (57,6%)

A rare opportunity to get your hands on a piece of whiskey history. This bottling comes from Chain Pier Distillery, Edinburgh's first single malt distillery since 1925, located in Granton. Chain Pier was the experimental "pilot" distillery of Bonnington, the mastermind behind Crabbie whiskey. While the current Bonnington Distillery was under construction, master distiller Jamie Lockhart experimented here with various malt recipes and unique single casks.

This "boutique" distillery was only operational from October 2018 to November 2019, during the construction of the Bonnington Distillery. In this short period, only 39 casks were produced, handcrafted in a 500-liter copper pot still. This makes this single malt one of the rarest whiskies ever made.
