1423 S.B.S Belize 2011 Stauning Whisky Cask (59.9%)

This single cask release from 1423 S.B.S originates from Belize and was distilled in 2011. It was selected and bottled as an exclusive release for the Netherlands, with a clear focus on cask influence and purity.

Distilled in a column still, the rum matured in an ex-Stauning whisky cask, adding a distinctive and less common layer of character. This results in a combination of classic Belize notes with additional grainy and lightly spiced influences from the cask.

On the nose, notes of vanilla, honey and light tropical fruit appear, supported by subtle grain and soft oak. The palate is powerful and full, with caramel, oak and spice, while the whisky cask adds structure and depth. The finish is long and warming with lingering spice and oak.
