Calvados Drouin 10YO Rhum J.M. Angels (46.5%)

France has a proud tradition of rum production, with rhums agricoles made by distilling fermented sugar cane juice. These rums are celebrated for their powerful character and complex aromatic palette.

For the seventh edition of Christian Drouin’s Experimental range, the house looked to Martinique, home to some of the island’s most emblematic distilleries. This special creation, named JM Angels, is a 10-year-old Pays d’Auge Calvados that spent an additional eight months maturing in six French oak barrels previously used for aging JM VSOP rhums agricoles.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Opens with inviting notes of vanilla, brown sugar, and toasted bread, then reveals aromas of roasted apple and apricot.
Palate: Bold yet balanced, with a beautiful harmony of power and roundness, finishing with subtle notes of apple skin and seeds.
