For the ninth edition of Christian Drouin’s Experimental range, the house turned to Scotland, the historic home of single malts, and partnered with the renowned Arran Distillery.
The collaboration is a natural one — Maison Drouin and Arran have exchanged barrels for nearly 20 years. For this project, a 13-year-old Pays d’Auge Calvados, known for its vibrant fruit and elegant roundness, was matured for six months in six French oak barrels that had previously held Arran whisky for more than 17 years.
The result is a limited-edition release of just 1,992 bottles, offering a Calvados of remarkable depth and character.
