Don Q Double Aged Rum - Vermouth Cask Finish (40%)

Don Q Double Aged Rum Vermouth Cask Finish is a distinctive release from Don Q produced in Puerto Rico. The rum is created by blending aged rums that first mature in American oak barrels before undergoing a second maturation in casks that previously held vermouth.

This double ageing process gives the rum a unique aromatic character. The vermouth casks introduce herbal spice and gentle bitters while preserving the classic rum notes of vanilla and caramel.

The nose reveals hints of orange peel, herbs and light honey. On the palate the rum is smooth and layered with flavours of caramel, dried citrus and aromatic spice.

The finish is elegant and slightly bittersweet with lingering herbal notes reminiscent of vermouth.
