This limited edition is produced by the award-winning Ironroot Republic Distilling in Denison, Texas, a family business known for its innovative approach to whiskey production and its focus on terroir, grain selection, and aging.
After initial maturation in American oak casks, this whiskey receives a refined finish in carefully selected Port and Cognac casks . This double cask aging provides extra depth and a beautiful interplay between fruity sweetness, spicy complexity, and elegant wood influences.
TASTING NOTES:
On the nose, rich aromas of ripe plums, black cherries, raisins, and dried figs open up, harmoniously interwoven with notes of vanilla, caramel, orange peel, and toasted oak. The influence of the Cognac casks adds subtle floral accents and a refined spiciness.
The taste is full and powerful, with layers of red fruit, dark chocolate, toffee, honey, and candied orange.
