It is on this island that rum as we know it today was born. The balance of its rums, both sweet and aromatic, is no longer in question. This molasses rum is a very good example, with its typical 5-year ageing in bourbon barrels.

Tasting Notes:
On the nose, we first encounter a rather light, floral rum, just agitated by some fine spices. A rather mischievous character emerges from all this, which gives rise to fruits such as apricot or melon.
Aeration gives way to a typical Barbados profile, marked by a toasted woodiness and thus tinged with vanilla and toasted coconut. Some greedy and caramelised nuts appear with a little time, and soften the twirling rum of the first moments.
The palate is rather lively, with a striking attack of fresh and fine spices. The pepper quickly takes us to the wood, and the latter doesn't waste a second to offer us all its greediness. Like a melting nougatine, it delivers flavours of caramelised almonds.
The finish is sweet, vanilla and coconut milk-like.
