This is a South-African rum made from 100 % fermented sugarcane juice. Distilled in their unique self-built artisanal pot stills. The organic sugarcanes are grown, fermented and distilled on the MHOBA estate. They use a mix of baking yeast and wild yeast from the sugarcanes for the fermentation. After distilling the spirit is filled in large demi-johns (a big glass bottle) with staves of burnt Sickle bush wood. The Sickle bush is also typically used for Braai (South-African barbecue).
