Ron Cristóbal Santa Maria Islay Cask Finish Limited Edition (44%)

Ron Cristobal Santa Maria Islay Cask Finish is a limited edition rum from the Dominican Republic. This Santa Maria edition was made from molasses, was column distilled, and received a second maturation in an ex-Islay whiskey barrel. It was distilled in 2007 and bottled in August 2022 with an edition of 1,509 bottles.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Bright and smoky nose with notes of leather, bonfire and wood. Pleasant fruity notes of candied papaya and orange marmalade.
Taste: sweet notes of honey and marshmallows with a citrus note. The peat influence of the barrel is reminiscent of smoky bacon
