This single malt is rich in peat smoke, yet beautifully balanced with sweet malt, vanilla, and citrus. Campfire smoke, sea salt, and light spice dominate the nose. The palate is full and intense with notes of smoky peat, caramel, toasted oak, and a hint of pepper, followed by a long, warming finish with lingering smoke and maritime influences.
Scarabus is bottled without chill filtration and without added color, fully preserving its pure Islay character. An excellent whisky for lovers of classic smoky single malts.
