Signatory 100 Proof - 9YO Tormore 2015 (57,1%)

This flavour-forward Speyside single malt was distilled in 2015 and matured for 9 years in a combination of first-fill Oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels, before being bottled in 2024 as part of Signatory’s 100 Proof Edition series.

Bottled at a commanding 57.1% ABV, and presented non-chill filtered and with natural colour, this dram delivers an unfiltered, full-bodied whisky experience. The rich influence of the Oloroso casks brings notes of dark fruit and spice, while the bourbon barrels add layers of vanilla and soft oak.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: A welcoming burst of dried fruits, vanilla fudge, and toasted oak, followed by hints of baking spices, orange zest, and a gentle nutty warmth.
Palate: Intense and warming, with flavours of dark berries, stewed apples, and spiced honey, balanced by smooth malt sweetness and a touch of creamy toffee.
Finish: Long and satisfying, with lingering notes of fruitcake, roasted nuts, and a soft touch of oak spice and cocoa.
