Takamaka Rum Overproof (69%)

Takamaka Rum Overproof is a white rum from the Seychelles Series by Takamaka. It is made from molasses and distilled in a column still. Less water is added than in Rum Blanc, allowing it to be bottled at 69% ABV while keeping the direct character of the base rum clearly intact.

On the nose and palate, the focus is on spicy and warming notes, supported by touches of citrus and vanilla. Lighter hints of banana and grass add extra lift. That combination of strength, freshness and gentle sweetness makes it well suited to cocktails where the rum needs to remain clearly noticeable alongside other assertive ingredients.

This rum is not built around cask influence or age, but around intensity and structure. That makes it a good fit for tiki serves and other mixed drinks where the rum should bring both power and definition.
