Tomintoul PX Sherry Cask Finish (40%)

Master Distiller Robert Fleming shows with these Cask Finishes the influence a finish in different casks has on the whisky's aroma and taste. Robert has been in the whisky industry since 1974 and has worked at Tomintoul for more than 20 years. Today he is responsible for all production processes at the distillery.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Aromas of treacle and dried figs mixed with malt bread, raisins and spices.
Taste: Cake filled with fruit and banana bread followed by marzipan-filled dates, toasted walnuts and raisins with hints of clove and cinnamon.
Finish: Warm flavors of sweet breads, cocoa powder and syrup topped cake that transition to a warming spiciness of oak and tobacco.
