Torabhaig Cnoc na Moine - The Legacy Series #3 (46%)

The third chapter of the Legacy series. A five-year-old whisky, aged in Bourbon, American oak Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks. The sherry casks in this new release impart a sweeter, richer flavor and darker color. Non-chill filtered with it's natural colour.
On the nose slightly subdued peat smoke supported by hints of orange peel and tangy fruit. A hint of vanilla sweetness and freshly sawn oak.
On the palate, the peat returns with a BBQ tone. The peaty flavor is followed by some pepper, light balsamic, a fruity sweetness and soft spices. Fragrant accents of cedar and leather, with the sherry casks adding some depth. The sherry influences are a wonderful light touch and show in harmonious balance with Torabhaig's integrated peat and spice structure.
