Product description
La Palma Suave lives up to its name. This is not a rum built around force, but around softness, calm and a style that immediately invites slow sipping. It is made by Ron Aldea on La Palma and aged for 17 years on the island, giving it plenty of time to become rounder and gentler without losing its lively side.
What makes this edition especially appealing is the extra layer added by Tres Hombres. After its long ageing on La Palma, edition 69 is given further influence from cognac and Pineau casks. That brings added nuance and refinement without upsetting the rum’s soft and mature character.
In the glass, it comes across as smooth and layered. Floral notes, citrus, vanilla and light chocolate fit together naturally, while the additional cask influence adds more depth and an elegant finish. The result is not a heavily built rum, but one that draws its charm from roundness, calm and a polished overall feel.
