It is then finished further in Ireland in mature Irish whiskey casks that previously held 19 year old Irish single malt. That final stage is what gives the rum its extra layering and refined warmth.

In the glass, the style stays notably easy and polished. Vanilla and butterscotch open softly, followed by dried mango and a gentle lift of nutmeg and clove.
