Plantation Rum Xaymaca Special Dry (43%)

Plantation Xaymaca Special Dry is a Jamaican rum by Maison Ferrand, created as a tribute to the traditional pot still rums of the island. It combines distillates from Long Pond and Clarendon, two distilleries with a significant role in Jamaican rum production.

The focus is on the classic Jamaican profile, often referred to as ‘hogo’ — a distinctive, slightly funky character resulting from fermentation and pot still distillation. With this release, master blender Alexandre Gabriel aimed to highlight this traditional style in a more accessible and balanced form.

The profile brings together fruity and spicy elements with a light smokiness and a relatively dry structure. Notes of ripe tropical fruit, citrus and gentle spice are supported by a rounded base, making it suitable both for sipping and mixing.
