Calvados Drouin 19YO Springbank Angels (50,4%)

To mark the 5th anniversary of Christian Drouin’s Experimental range and the release of its 10th edition, the house proudly partnered with the legendary Scottish distillery, Springbank. This collaboration carries a special history: over two decades ago, Springbank matured some of their whiskies in Drouin’s calvados barrels.

For this limited edition, the challenge was to harmonize the fruity elegance of apple with the subtle peat influence of Springbank’s casks (10–12 ppm). A remarkable 19-year-old Pays d’Auge calvados was carefully chosen and matured for five months in eight ex-Springbank barrels, resulting in just 2,130 bottles worldwide.

The result is a majestic spirit of strength and character. The nose reveals roasted apples entwined with smoky aromas, unfolding into plum and clafoutis with earthy undertones. The palate is rich and structured, layered with toasted notes, while the peat asserts itself gracefully on the finish.

A rare collector’s edition that unites Normandy’s calvados tradition with Scotland’s whisky heritage.
